September 2017 copywriting update
September was another busy old month for me, with tonnes of copywriting and proofreading for clients new and old.
The new season’s product descriptions are underway for the big-name outdoor clothing company, which is always an enjoyable challenge. There are hundreds for me to write, but I actually really like getting stuck into them and getting into the company’s mindset! They’re a really cool brand and I love writing for them.
The other big project I’ve been working on this month is a complete website rewrite for a lovely new charity client – a children’s hospice. This has been one of the most challenging yet rewarding projects I’ve ever worked on, because the subject matter is so heart-rending and the tone of voice needs to be spot on. I’m hoping to be able to share this project with you as a case study when it’s finished, if they’re happy for me to do so. I’m really proud to be working on this one – it’s a fantastic charity and I’d love to tell you all about it.
Around these two projects I’ve still been writing my usual monthly content for regular clients, including blog posts for a wedding venue, articles for a major internet-related company and a blog post for a local luxury transport company. I’ve also been doing some proofreading and editing, including proofreading press statements for various sportsmen and for a women’s college, and editing a long and rather technical document into plainer English.
Away from my desk, I’m still working away at my helicopter licence and exploring the Cotswolds whenever I get the chance.
I currently have availability from towards the end of October, so let me know if you’d like me to schedule anything in for you!
