August 2017 copywriting update
This month I’ve had a much-needed summer break, treating myself to over two weeks off. It was great to have a decent stretch of time away from the computer – it definitely helps with my creativity. I’ve done loads of reading (important for any writer), and we went on a little road trip around Belgium and Holland, visiting such places as Ypres, Bruges, The Hague and Amsterdam. After we got back, I spent a week blitzing my helicopter training and I flew solo in a helicopter for the first time! See obligatory pic with my instructor below…
It’s not all been fun and games, though – I’ve done lots of hard work as well! I’ve still been writing my usual monthly blog posts for regular clients, including a wedding venue, luxury transport company and a major internet-related organisation. I’ve penned website copy for an online marketplace site, and reviewed and edited an SEO agency’s pitch deck, which they use to win new business. Among other things, I’ve also written website copy for a company specialising in non-surgical cosmetic treatments.
At the end of the month I headed down to the far north of Italy for a client meeting across the border in Switzerland. It’s the big-name outdoor clothing company, and it’s always fun visiting and writing for them. Lots of work coming up for them in the next few weeks, so that’s something to look forward to.
I have some availability for new projects at the moment, so do drop me a line if there’s anything I can write for you.
